What to Pack for a Caribbean Catamaran Charter

January 8, 2027

Packing for a week aboard a catamaran is different from packing for a hotel stay. Storage is generous but every bag has to fit through a companionway, so soft duffel bags always beat hard-shell suitcases.

Reef-safe sunscreen is non-negotiable in the Caribbean's protected marine areas, along with a wide-brim hat, polarized sunglasses, and a light long-sleeve layer for long days on the water.

Bring a dry bag for phones and cameras during water toy sessions, and pack light, quick-dry clothing — you'll likely be in a swimsuit more than anything else.

The one thing guests forget most often: a copy of their passport and travel documents in a waterproof pouch, since you'll be clearing customs between islands on some itineraries.
